  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee assists vacant churches in securing supply preaching and interim supply.
    • Churches desiring to call a minister may seek the committee’s counsel.
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee has the oversight of ministers who are laboring outside the bounds of Presbytery, or who are without a definite call.
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee provides guidance for pastors and churches seeking to dissolve their relationship.
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee receives requests for the dissolution of pastoral relationships and recommend actions to presbytery.
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee is designated as the point of contact for anyone wishing to lodge a complaint about the conduct of a Teaching Elder who is a member of South Texas Presbytery or under its care. 
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee develops strategies to encourage and strengthen fellowship among members of Presbytery.
    • The Ministerial Relations Committee has the authority to act as a commission of South Texas Presbytery in dissolving pastoral relationships in cases where the minister and congregation formally concur in such dissolution and when pastoral problems are not involved.
    • In situations in which no congregation is involved, the committee has the authority to act as a commission of South Texas Presbytery in dismissing ministers. 
    • Administer the Barnabas Fund for the South Texas Presbytery
